When a hunted Jewish boy becomes the unlikely leader of a children's resistance cell in Nazi-occupied Rotterdam, his greatest threat is not the Occupation outside but the anti-Semitism within his own ranks, and that girl in trying to unseat him will, without meaning to, push him into becoming exactly who he needs to be.
